ARE YOU A GUY LIVING IN A HOUSE OF HORRORS? DOES YOUR DIY ALWAYS END IN DISASTER? NEED TO LEARN SOME HOUSEHOLD SKILLS? TAKE-AWAYS TAKE ALL YOUR MONEY AWAY? THEN SKY ONE NEEDS YOU! Britain's older generations are far more likely than the rest of us to have first-hand experience of real shortage. In this new TV series our team of Old School Celebrit....

The football season has once again crept up on us and with so much rain hurtling down on the country this summer; it doesn’t feel like we have had one! However it’s time to dust off the scarves and read our previews of the new season. We start with the Blue Square Premier, or Conference to the purists and with an interesting season ahead of us for financial reasons (the collapse of Setanta) then there could be trouble ahead for some. Who will rise to the top? And who will slip closer....

Your only sporting highlight this summer will have been the 5-a-side and 6-a-side football at Leisure Leagues, because lets face it, after the past few days debacle, cricket has hardly sent the pulse’s racing. What a entirely frustrating sport that is. My tip for the 3rd Series – a draw. The excitement of it all! Anyway, the lack of summer sport to watch either live, or on the box, seems to be a thing of the past for us lucky folks in the U.K. The most exciting prospect has to be the....

Another two players have been in touch with the Leisure Leagues Media Department this week as they are looking to find a team to play for. If you are in a team at the Altrincham Leisure Centre on Sunday afternoons or Tuesday evenings and you would be interesting in hearing from a willing player, then please get in touch. Maybe you are struggling for numbers over the holiday period or you could be looking to bolster your squad. Give Adam or Andy a call on 0870 6200 645 or e-mail....

Both players are open to playing ANY position in and have competitive experience. If you would like us to put you in touch, please call Adam or Andy on 0818 240 246 (Republic Of Ireland Number) or e-mail media@leisureleagues.net with yo....

Leisure Leagues are regularly contacted by players looking for teams to play for (they may be new to the area or have recently returned to the game). In the past we have told players that their best way of finding a new team will be to visit the venue on the night that the league runs. If you are a player yourself looking for a team, please feel free to have a look down at the league and see if anyone is short. Alternatively, you can drop the Media department a line (the authors of your Blog!) a....

This week we have been contacted by players from Aylesbury and Northampton respectively, who have recently moved into the area and are looking for teams to play for. If you are regularly short of players or just want to recruit more numbers for your team, then give Shaun (Aylesbury/Northampton League Manager) a call in the office on 0845 230 2340 or e-mail him on info@leisureleagues.net and he will put you in touch with your newest team member! ....

The current ICC World Twenty20 might have caught the country in the grip of cricketing action, but it won't put a stop to your local 6-a-side football league, which will be running all summer long. Gone are the days when professional footballers could swap their boots for spikes at the end of March and wield the willow several months, and so too in the 6-a-side leagues which will be taking place every week as the nights draw longer and the sun shines down on the UK and Ireland. If you are a fan ....
