Charlie Bamford was the star of the show for FC Ripley this week as he orchestrated a superb 7-1 victory for his side against previously second placed side Miners Welfare FC in the Kimberley 6 a side league this week. After Miners Welfare’s defeat it is Bomb Squad who have quietly moved up to second spot after a steady 2-0 victory over The Youngsters and Old Guy despite the best efforts of Youngsters star Dan Fearn. The win was Bomb Squad’s forth successive victory and sees them trail top spot by three points as we enter the final two games of the season.
Ant Watkinson meanwhile secured a first win for Eastwood & Kimberley as they comfortably defeated Fresh Prince of NG 6-1 and move to within a point of their rivals as they look to make ground in the final two games of the season.
