League Leaders B.A.F. are likely to need just a point in next week´s game against closest rivals Quims Park Rangers in order to secure a well-earned title. BAF find themselves 5 points clear with 3 games top play after defeating Radstock United 6-0, although United´s Hugh Whetherly again impressed with another superb performance.
FC Athletic are now level on points with QPR after the teams met in last night´s fixtures. The encounter ended in a 2-0 win for Athletic, who have now gone their last 7 games unbeaten, including 6 wins. Skipper Ashley Reeve must be ruing their sluggish start to the season which saw them pick up just 1 point from a possible 8 in the first four fixtures.
Kop Idols are into 4th after they edged out close rivals Sons of Pitches 2-1, with Ollie Jones earning the plaudits, although Howard Pascoe deserves special mention for several fine saves.
The Radi-Cause will be encouraged by their first clean sheet of the season in a goalless draw with Mallards. The Radi´s season began disastrously, but they are now looking at home in the league and are notching up some impressive displays.
