On a warm night in the Leisure Leagues 5 a side Malvern League, leaders Powick Fc suffered their first defeat of the season, losing 10-8 to a hard working and clinical Ajax Trees Down.

Elsewhere a convincing win for Real Average saw them climb level on points at the top of the table, albeit behind on goal difference. Malvern Mavericks maintained their good form with a dominant display over Malvern Mans and in arguably the game of the evening, Inter Your Gran produced a stirring fightback to draw 8-8 with Btec Banter.

Despite the heat making things difficult for all sides, the level of skill and competition was again very high. The Malvern Leisure Leagues 5 a side league is certainly hotting up at the mid way point of the season.
