Norad FC top the table after the first round of fixtures in the new 12-team Radstock 6-a-side League. Inspired by John Kilburn´s Man of the Match performance, Norad romped to an impressive 5-0 win against new team Riverside Reserves, although Riverside enjoyed a decent spell in the 2nd half and wasted 2 great chances late in the game.
Joining Norad as 1st night winners were Norfolk N Chance, who overcame Arsenholes 4-0 with Toby Jackson in impressive form, although Will Horroll also earned the plaudits for his best display in the Monday night league.
Last season´s runners-up and Champions League finalists, The Young Ones, got off to a great start with a professional and hard-fought 2-0 win against an impressive SOPs Reunited, with Lee Handford in great form.
Yuppies won the battle of the new boys with a 3-1 win against Vegas Rangers. This was an outstanding match, with Rangers highly impressive for long periods of the game, but some clinical finishing, great goalkeeping and a stand-out performance from Adam Whittock made the difference for Yuppies.
New team, Peasedown´s Finest, also got off to a winning start, although they benefited from Urine Trouble´s non-attendance by gaining an automatic 5-0 win.
In the night´s other match, Jack Daniells was in impressive form as Leave-My-Arcelona fought out a 1-1 draw with Farmborough Bounce.
