We run
hundreds of leagues nationwide and are always on the lookout for referees to join our ever growing team. If you are interested in refereeing, the chances are, wherever you live, we have a league near you.
We pay a minimum of £10/€20 per hour and also supply all equipment including; balls, bibs, cones, booklets for each team, whistle, stopwatch and even a printed lanyard.
You are welcome to referee in your normal referee’s clothing if you have it. Otherwise we will supply polo shirts, jumpers and Regatta storm proof jackets. Our Gold officials also receive fleece lined waterproof coats or thermal League Managers coats. All referees are entitled to a free Leisure Leagues beanie hat and suprafleece gloves.
We also supply a free branded lanyard, branded red and yellow cards, branded holdall and clipboard if required. Our reputation for looking after our referees is unparallelled.
As a new referee, you will be inducted by a member of our staff. Once you have passed your induction you will receive a certificate from UKIFF, our governing body. If you referee with us to a good standard consistently then you will be given the opportunity to climb our grading structure involving Bronze, Silver and Gold awards.
We have a solid reputation for the strongest disciplinary structure of any organised football in Europe. You will be strongly urged to discipline players at every opportunity should they not obey your instructions. You are encouraged to dismiss players for offences such as swearing in your direction or questioning your decisions.
We always back up our referees and we never take the word of a player over and above the referee. Furthermore, you have the facility to choose the fine or exclusion period for any player or team that has caused you any problem in a league. Once you have chosen that fine or exclusion, there is no right of appeal for that player or team unless you specifically agree to it.
Unlike other league organisers, we do not tolerate rude, violent or abusive behaviour in any way from any player or team. We expect you to referee at one of our leagues, enjoy the experience and look forward to it each week.
