The Autumn Season 2011
Bolstered by the arrival of new signings the new season kicked off wth an air of expectation. New keeper Paul the cat Williams, a product of the youth team, albeit 20 years ago, shows promise but with our mean defence he hasn't had the opportunity to develop his talent. Rob the hatchet James, the only man to rival the beast at the tackle area, was joined by another young prospect Barry The Brut Mathias, an outsdanding left back. Midfield stalwart Math The Enforcer Hill remained as the heart and soul of the team a rock in defence even if a little incompetent in front of goal. Up front the teams talisman Aled Mad Max Vaughan, a magical player with dancing feet and a thunderous shot only lacking in confidence ............and supply of possesion. The icing on the cake energetic utility man Ben Dover Davies, jack of all trades master of some!
As we strode out on to the arena on matchday 1 dreaming of cups, medals and european football the orange men of vienna with Rory in tow were in opposition. A battle ensued, it was nip and tuck throughout with high tensions as the final whistle approached in a close encounter but alas we were to be denied by the odd goal or six 7-1. Week 2 brought Cnau 'r Ci , oh and Rory, a close game ending 11-3. Next Ticklers, squad rotation led to a narrow defeat 15-1. Matchday 4 saw Boncath take on the overated Underestimted a blip leading to a Boncath win??? With confidence at an all time high it was the leagues best team next, Goat, a good first half perfomance resulting in a 4 all scoreline early in the second half, as Boncath minds drifted to post match celebrations in the company of the beautiful Pat, Goat sneaked in a winner or two leaving the final score 10-4. Next up the game we should have a chance in, Preseli Rangers, but baffled by the appearance of Maths older brother for the Rangers we were blown away 9-2. 2nd half of the season back to orange vienna , a marked improvement resulted in a 7-4 defeat but the performance was of a quality good enough to scare off Cnau'r Ci the following week, 5-0 to Boncath our second win, and well deserved.
Targets - Tame (or mame) The Beast and lose by less.
