Another masterful campaign waged against a varied array of teams, as some pulled-out and others appeared. Only one defeat to a reinforced goat starring the silky skills of Jools and the big mass of dan in nets as well as the trecherous Judas Noel, who once graced the Ticklers proud shirt. Nevertheless we bounced back from the one reverse and bashed Cna r ci with a classy display, without the mighty Raph! That is 4 titles on the trot. Not bad eh! The roll of honour goes to the following players Rhys, Raph, Martin, Mex, Ed and young guns Ben, Daf, Elgan. Thanks to the guests who have helped us out at different time during the long season...Celt, Stef, Rory, Hugh, Jools. Oh and there was one other feller, but his name is erased from the official Ticklers history books due to his dubious loyalty! So onwards we will go to the new season, with everyone wanting our scalps. No one likes us- We don't care. Up the Ticklers!
2 games in to the new season and we have come through a tricky period, going top without some important players. The youth policy is proving to be invaluable, with promising performances from the likes of Dafydd, and Elgan, who are shaping-up well, and show no obvious physical similarities to uncle Rhys, nor do they play like him! Young Tomos is settling in well, looking at home in defence or supporting the attack, and Ben continues to show some nice touches in midfield.We are grateful to Rhodri and Gethin, who guested for us on Thursday and both got on the scoresheet, giving us a useful boost to out-muscle a determined Underestimated, who's guest goalie Mathew seemed to stop everything. We have been without Raph, Mex and Martin but hope to see them back asap. The top brass are thinking long term- and the Ticklers hope to dominate this league until 2020, by which time the Clough/Taylor player- management team of Jenkins/Dunn will be sitting in the gallery wrapped in tartan blankets, eating sandwiches, and cups of soup.
Its the real deal boys...pretenders to the Ticklers throne better take note. There won't be any early Christmas presents from us this year- you had all better up your game cos its gonna be more of the same !
