Mean Machine are a 6 a side team based in the picturesque town of Aylesbury. The team has continued to good work of former players, and now have the fledging juniors coming through. New Gaffer Daniel "Woody" Woodstock, has drafted in a wealth of experience from all corners of the globe, such as Tring, Chesham and Amersham. Recent signings include GoalKeeper/Utility man Leigh Dale. Woody added this is a massive signing for club, did you know he even featured on Championship Manager. Dale is pleased to join the club, he added "I have played at many grounds, but Meadowcroft is something to be savoured". Other signings included Robert Rooney, who models himself on Lee Sharpe, Ross Smith, who is quite difficult to understand with his funny accent, Kenny Todd the dark destroyer. Woody has also added many new faces to the squad, who so far have impressed. Mean Machine look forward to a good season, and hope to achieve some silverware for the new Manager. Squad Profile below.
Daniel "Woody" Woodstock - The Gaffer/Striker. Impressive player at this level. Woody has played at Amersham Town and Belmont before making the move to Mean Machine. You may recognise him from the Band "Mcfly", yes he is the lead guitarist. Woody gave up playing sunday football, due to sunday being "Woody's Day", but this is to Mean Machines benefit.
Leigh "Dee" Dale - Goalkeeper/Utility Player. Massive signing for the club. Dale has played at many non league clubs, and was on the books of AFC Bournemouth as a junior. Unfortunately he found Beer and Winkers more appealing. Dale has featured in teams with many top professional players, however still doesnt know how to pass.
Robert "ROOOOOONEY" Rooney - Midfield Maestro. Local school teacher Rob, brings a driving force in the midfield, shame he cant shoot though. Rob plays for local club St Johns, however also featured at clubs such as Bovingdon, Amersham Town, and Hadley of Barnet. Rob is also the longest in the shower!!!!!
Kenny Todd - Has a very strong tackle!!!! Kenny brought up on the hard streets of hemel brings a element of thuggery to the Mean Machine defence.
Ross Smith - Utility Man. Difficult to understand, and just runs around shouting Marlaw Brewery all the time. Recently got in engaged, although i beleive she needed a translater to understand the proposal.
Chris Taylor - Midfield/Defence - Brings an element of flair to the Mean Machine team. Chris has had trials at some big clubs, and was being persued by a number of large non league teams. apparently a massive fan of cheesy chips!
Jamie Spicer - Paul Scholes wanna be, not for the accurate long passing or tough tackling midfield, but because he's ginger!
Nathan Avis - Pacey midfielder/striker. Nathan has started this campaign with a flurry of goals, part of the Mean Machine YTS, he has come on leaps and bounds, favourite for the golden boot
Matt Avis - Utility Player - Man gives 100% wherever he plays, another member of the successful Mean Machine YTS scheme, Matt show massive promise and could be the key to solving the so far leaky defence.
Marc Danecker - Utility Man - Marc brings and element of attractiveness to Mean Machine. Not for his silking skills, but he's a pretty good looking bloke. Also lives in a caravan and gets lots of women. How does he do it!!!!
