SELSTON SUNDAY

There were some excellent attacking and defensive displays in the Selston Sunday league this week. At the top of the table Eastley Harriers remain five points clear with four games to play as thay look to clinch the title. Good luck to all the teams ahead of this Sunday's fixtures.

There is a one off £25 registration fee to join the league and the weekly match fees are just £23 which is the cheapest in the area.

ALL TEAMS PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU ARE STRUGGLING FOR PLAYERS YOU ARE PERMITTED TO BORROW UP TO 2 PLAYERS TO MAKE UP THE 5. IF BORROWED PLAYERS ARE USED THEN THE TEAM BORROWING THE PLAYERS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO HAVE SUBSTITUTES.

We always welcome new teams and if you would like to join the league just click on the link at the top of the page 'Enter a Team Now' and fill in the online entry form. Registration into the league is just £25 and the weekly match fees are just £23 which is the cheapest in the area. SELSTON LEISURE LEAGUES: 5 a side Football Round Up
There was an entertaining game in the Selston 5 a side league this week between fifth placed side Inbertweeners and sixth placed Notts FC who are looking to overtake their rivals in the table. A thrilling game produced seven goals and it was the Inbertweeners front man James Funnel who once again demonstrated his class in front of goal as his team ended the game 4-3 winners as they look to gatecrash the top four teams in the table. The Inbertweeners are now just a point off forth placed Waingroves after they suffered a 10-1 defeat at the hands of leaders Eastley Harriers who seemed to be back to their goal-scoring best. The win keeps up Harriers five point lead at the top of the table as we enter the business end of the season. Eastley’s Dean Hurst produced a solid display to earn him the man of the match here.

Another team to enjoy a successful evening in front of goal was Mot Mot Motley Crue in their game against DG United this week. A convincing 7-0 victory was achieved thanks in part to Dean Bower’s performance as his all round display earned him the man of the match award.

In the other game this week The White Lion’s Adam Pynegar was also in superb form again as he provided the catalyst for White Lion’s 6-0 victory at Orange Sierra as they keep up the pressure on Eastley Harriers and remain second on goal difference.
