Vernon's Oak - A team based around immense Talent - Vernon's Oak under the management of Johnson and Castle have bought some big names on board, and have started the season with some impressive displays.  The 12 - 0 demolition of Foxes Two the stand out result.

We are a group of Friends mostly originally from Marchington.  We enjoy winning, but we much prefer our chippy tea afterwards with battered sausage and curry sauce.  Its our ambition to win the league and go and spread the word of Cod's corner throughout the Midlands.  The chippy Tea post match dinner is obviously catching on as a couple of players from red white and Booze were seen sneaking in for a donnar and chips!

Members of the insurgency include:

- Adam Johnson - has raw pace, and electric feet

- Richard Castle - the 'skills school' this boy has plenty of tricks in the locker!

- Sam Gibbs - the workhorse, what he lacks in skill he makes up for in effort.

- Tom Wheeldon - the young brazilian prefers warmer climates and the beach.

- Mark Thompson - getting stronger with every game, needs to toughen up

- Pat Taylor - the enforcer of the side! a true Vinnie Jones

- Ed White - lacks pace and agility but has a booming shot and is a JT in the air.

- Chris Istead - the oldest member of the side but his experience is needed.

- James Stevenson - If we can grab him away from the pub he is very handy
