Match Report
Predators 3-0 Bird is the word ( 22nd of March )
Predators were on a high after there 4-2 win last week against league leaders Splash. This week Bird is the word was are next challenge. We started slow and were put under pressure early on. Keeper Ryan Buss pulled off a string of fine saves to keep us in the game early on. Then Tom Baker put a lovely through ball to leading goal scorer Ben Adfield through one on one, Ben hit the shot at the keeper but up come Kyle Osgood to put in the rebound. After going 1 nil up we managed to put the pressure on. Tom Baker rolled the ball into Ben Adfield who left the defender for dead and carmly slotted the ball into the bottom left hand corner for 2 nil. Second half begins and we are on the back foot again as Bird is the word pile the pressure on once again. A lovely worked counter attack started with Joseph O'boyle finding Kyle Osgood on the wing who centred to Ben Adfield and then spotted the run of Ghali Braiha, who smashed home Predators 3rd. We then put a string of counter attacks together where Ben, Kyle, and Ghali all came close. The last 2 minutes Bird is the word tried to get there goal but they couldn't get past Buss. Game finished 3-0 and we reflected it wasn't are best performance but we took into positive are deadlyness on the counter. Ghali Braiha man of the match
Predators 3-0 Worthing Vapours A ( 29th of March )
Following last weeks win Predators were looking for a eighth straight win to take them top of the league. Standing in their way were Worthing Vapours. The first half saw Predators maintaining the majority of possession and the first break came from Ghali who nutmeged one player to see Ben through in the centre, with a first class touch through to Osgood on the left who calmly took the ball on the bounce and placed it neatly in the right hand corner in style. Vapours were always quick to break which led to a few long shots on goal calmly collected by Buss. O'Boyle stood firm at the back as always with solid support from ben and osgood tracking back when needed, preventing the Vapours from any clean shots on goal. The next break came towards the end of the first half from one of Toms magnificent runs up the left side, instantly drawing three players eager to tackle the man with the fancy footwork, he back heeled the ball into Ben who took the ball nicely on the bounce and placed it with precision in the top left corner. second half saw Vapours trying to rally, leading to a couple of close chances nicely saved by Buss. Tom came close in the second half after taking on a couple of players in his usual fashion and drilling the ball in which was saved by the keepers better leg. The break in the second half started with Ghali sending the ball through to tom who left it for Ben, taking it a couple of touches out to the left handside he placed it, from a distance, in the right corner leaving the goal keeper wondering how long it would be before his P45 was in the post. All in all another solid performance from the Predators, eight games unbeaten and 2 points clear - finger tips on the trophy, just dont let it slip lads. Man of the Match: Adfield, Superb finishing for both goals and a solid all round performance.
