Sunday 13th July - Cannock Round-Up

It was a good evening's football overall in the Cannock Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance barring new team Poundland on their first fixture, which was disappointing.  As a result they have now been removed from the league.

We welcome another new team GG UXD to the league as a replacement for the above and wish these good luck in their first fixture.

The most spectacular match of the night was undoubtedly between What Divock and FUB FC, where What Divock dominated the field, ending with a landslide 10-2 victory. This impressive performance demonstrates their formidable offensive skills and places them as a strong contender this season, with the top scorer from their side adding a significant number to his tally.

On the other end of the spectrum, a nail-biting match took place between The Monks Crow-Knees and Glass On Grass. The latter managed to edge out a narrow 1-0 victory, showcasing their strong defensive strategy. This win came courtesy of their solitary striker who rose to the occasion and is now one of the top scorers in the division.

Bayer Neverlusen and Hednesford U5s also battled it out on the pitch, offering spectators a thrilling match. Bayer Neverlusen emerged victorious, clinching a narrow 3-2 win. The game was a true testament to the team's determination and tenacity on their debut game with us.

We wish all teams good luck going into game week 7, which is the halfway point of the campaign with Cannock's premier small sided football providers.
