It was a good evening's football in the Cannock Wednesday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled barring a cancellation from Jimmy Sevilla who return to action next week.
In the Premier League division, IDEAL FC narrowly lost 3-4 to Nutmeg City in a gripping match. In another closely contested game, Wheely Bad Fc edged past Toby Minton FC with a 3-2 win.
Division 1 saw Oriental Delight outperform Blink 1 Eto with a 7-2 victory, while Restored V2 secured a 1-0 win against Murder on Zidane’s Floor. Donk II also scraped past Romasexuals with a 2-1 victory, with TomBolas FC managing a 1-0 win over The Exsvendaballs.
In Division 2, Cannockbis Dank Council drew 2-2 against Limes FC in a nail-biting match. Galacticos and Mables Spartans also settled for a 1-1 draw. Norton Wanderers and Double Pogba and Coke ended in a goalless draw, while Schlupp Matip squeezed past Pop Shuv-It with a 2-1 win.
Division 3 saw 12leftlegs overpower Five Ways with a 7-2 victory, while Demba 9 Ba and Limes FC 2 played out an exciting 9-9 draw. The Wyrley Ultras and Rubber Ducks Fc had to share the spoils with a 3-3 draw.
Division 4 witnessed Chase Ay We inflict a heavy 10-0 defeat on Inter Yer Nan, while the Pitmen narrowly beat Funny Innit 2-1. Pen Pushers FC also edged past Durag McMahon in a 4-3 victory, while Under My Cucurella fell 0-3 to Need A Treadmill FC.
The top scorers across the divisions were certainly in fine form this week, with Chase Ay We leading the charge in Division 4. Other top scorers included Bangladesh FC in the Premier League, Oriental Delight in Division 1, Schlupp Matip in Division 2, and 12leftlegs in Division 3.
