Last night marked the seventh week of the action-packed Burntwood Monday football league. A series of electrifying face-offs ensued across four divisions: Premier League, Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3, keeping spectators on the edge of their seats.
In the Premier League, Dank Fc and Bunch Of Scruffs ended in a gripping 4-4 draw. Absolutely nobody would have guessed that crazy scoreline! And as exciting as it was, it still didn't quite make our Match of the Day cut! Burntwood Fc triumphed over Scrambled Legs with an emphatic score of 5-3, while The CTL Elite dominated Dribble Fc and Sheffield Monday overpowered RAWNSLEY RANGERS with a clean sheet, both notching up a score of 5-0. The CTL continue their wild unbeaten run, can they keep it up!
In Division 1, Stroke Tity FC delivered a decisive 6-1 victory over Soup King FC. The Grillbillies narrowly edged out Harriers 2-1 while Victor Moses Garden toppled Patty Freaks FC with a 6-2 victory. Norton FC sealed the day with a 4-0 win over Basic FC. A whisker above the competition which keeps them in top position!
Division 2 saw P M T FC defeat Diddys Dribblers at 5-0. PSV Hangover pipped Karius To Glory 3-2, making it all very tight at the top! In other news, Whopper Walsh bested Burntwood Ballers FC 3-0, and Donny On Da Beek clinched a 2-1 victory over Kepa Clean Sheet.
Finally, in Division 3, we can unleash our wild MotD which featured 12 bizzare goals!! Broadfield FC were the ones to outscore Davos Diddy Party in a high-scoring match which ended 7-5. A crucial win nontheless as they look to keep their hand on the trophy! Pro Clubs Irl narrowly defeated Future Stars 1-0, FCDapperGirls and Class On Grass battled to a 2-2 draw, and Queen Park Strangers beat Trooper FC 3-2. Essential for them as they look to keep up the pressure on those big boys!
The top scorers of each division, The CTL Elite (Premier League), Stroke Tity FC (Division 1), P M T FC (Division 2), and Broadfield FC (Division 3) displayed exceptional prowess on the field, contributing significantly to the excitement of the season.
As we look forward to week 8, the spirit of competition is high, and the anticipation of what's to come is even higher. Stay tuned for the upcoming matches as the teams continue their fight for supremacy in Burntwood Monday football league.
