In the heart of Burntwood, the Monday Night 6 a side Football League continued to dominate the local sports scene. Week 4 saw some thrilling encounters that had spectators on the edge of their seats.
The Premier League division saw a host of competitive matches. Bunch Of Scruffs emerged as the week's top performers, securing a convincing 6-2 victory over Lattos Toy Boys. In a closely fought match, Norton FC edged past Hills Army with a 3-1 win. The Grillbillies and Scrambled Legs both clinched narrow victories over SPECCY WANDERERS and Stroke Tity FC respectively, winning 2-1 and 1-0. The Division 1 matches were just as exciting, and first up is our Match of the Day. With 6 goals and a group of new chaps eager to prove a point.. it was none other than the duel between Serves You Right For Muscat That and Karius To Glory ended in a 3-3 draw. Fantastic! Meanwhile, Harriers soared above McGinn N Tonic with a 4-1 victory, while Patty Freaks FC defeated Donny On Da Beek 2-1. Whopper Walsh secured a narrow 1-0 victory against RAWNSLEY RANGERS, and No Name FC fell to Monday Warriors in a 6-1 defeat.
Division 2 gave us some high-scoring thrillers. Davos Diddy Party celebrated a 4-1 victory over Diddys Dribblers, while Basic FC lost 6-4 to Kepa Clean Sheet in an absolute goal-fest! PSV Hangover overpowered Trooper FC with a 3-1 win, and Six Offenders outscored Queen Park Strangers 6-2.
The league now breaks until Monday night comes around again, and we are left to reflect on the standout performers. The top scorers for the divisions were Bunch Of Scruffs in the Premier League, Harriers in Division 1, and Six Offenders in Division 2. We can't wait to see what the coming weeks will bring and which teams will rise to the top in this highly competitive league!
