In an exhilarating display of grit and determination, the Burntwood Sunday 6-a-side Football league witnessed its fifth week of play. The two divisions that took centre stage were the Premier League and Division 1.
In the Premier League, D.T.F.C emerged victorious against Zingers FC with an impressive 5-2 win. Lord Of The Ringers delivered an astounding performance, trouncing Smokin Aces 10-3. Doing what they do best, and keeping the tempo high! Al-Ettifaq In Ell Ref edged out Hakuna Juan Mata 7-1, exhibiting great defensive play. They keep up the pressure on top spot, behind only on GD!
Real Unfitico claimed a narrow win against Peek Eboue in a hard-fought 1-0 match. Bottom Bunch FC also clinched a win against Allstars FC with a scoreline of 2-1, ensuring an exciting end to the Premier League action. A real couple of shockers down here - drastically changing the outlook!
Over at Division 1, the results were equally thrilling. M S Opeless and Ladzio FC played to a goalless draw, each displaying strong defensive tactics. FAT FC dominated Obese City with a 6-1 victory. They continue their amazing start! Sporting Stonnall claimed a 3-1 victory over Yam Yam Army, while Mick's Bulldogs suffered a heavy defeat against The Ringers, who won 5-0. Can anyone stop them!?
The last match of the night saw our Match of the Day arrive in style! It saw Warriors and Wekantewin draw with a whopping 6 goals! Coming in at 3-3… capping off an eventful week of football.
