In a thrilling climax to the Burntwood Sunday 6-a-side Football League, the final match-ups of the season did not disappoint. The 18th week of the competitive league came to an exciting conclusion, with teams battling it out in the Premier League and Division 1.


In the Premier League division, the closely fought battles saw D.T.F.C narrowly clinch a 1-0 victory against Al-Ettifaq In Ell Ref. Lord Of The Ringers tied Bottom Bunch FC in a 1-1 draw, bringing an end to a tension-filled match. However as DT had a higher goals scored tally, they pipped BB to 2nd spot due to a tie on goal difference! 

A spectacular performance was displayed by Real Unfitico, who outclassed Zingers FC in today’s Match of the Day, 11 Grady goals saw them run off with an 8-3 lead! Unfortunately, no amount of goals could have got them that runners up place, they end up with 4th due to GD… Meanwhile, Allstars FC managed a 1-0 win over Peek Eboue on a night of tight defenses. However, the real standout was the ferocious encounter between Hakuna Juan Mata and Smokin Aces, which ended in a 4-1 victory for the Aces.

However, the undisputed kings of the Premier League were Lord Of The Ringers, who walked away with the title having amassed an impressive total of 34 points from 16 wins.

Over in Division 1, The Ringers showcased their dominance with a 5-1 victory against Obese City. Ladzio FC weren't far behind, bagging a 6-0 triumph over the Warriors. In a high-energy match, Mick's Bulldogs topped Yam Yam Army with a 3-1 scoreline. However it wasn’t quite enough to save their dire goal difference, and they have to settle for third spot, no promotion for them… 

The final game of the division saw Wekantewin and Sporting Stonnall evenly matched, ending in a 2-2 draw. Congratulations to Fat FC on clinching 2nd spot and automatic promotion! Andddddd…

The accolade for Division 1 champions went to The Ringers, who also emerged victorious with 34 points from an astounding 17 wins, marking an exceptional season!!

As we wrap up this season of the Burntwood Sunday 6-a-side Football League, the remarkable performances of all teams should be recognized.
