COLCHESTER - The Colchester Thursday 6-a-side Football League concluded its eighth week of action last night, with a series of heated contests across the Premier League and Division 1.
In the Premier League, ESSEX ESSEX ESSEX FC fought to a thrilling 3-3 draw against Murder On Zidanes Floor. It was a fiercely contested battle that saw the two teams sharing the spoils. Moving on, fans were treated to a one-sided affair as Living On An Emman Dare trounced Chubs 7-0, a decisive victory that displayed their offensive prowess. In another close match, ESD clinched a narrow 4-3 victory over Crabs FC.
Over in Division 1, Benchwarmers FC were narrowly edged out by Unathletico Madrid, in a tense 2-1 defeat. Meanwhile, GTB FC managed to hold off Clairmont FC, eking out a 1-0 victory. Maccies Past And Present suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Fire Pit in an engaging confrontation. Firepit B was taken down by Flopper FC in another closely contested match-up, ending in a 2-1 scoreline.
The top scorers were certainly the highlight of the evening. From the Premier League, Living On An Emman Dare's striker deserves special mention for leading his team to a 7-0 victory. In Division 1, Fire Pit’s forward, with his decisive goal, ensured their 2-1 win over Maccies Past And Present.
