Monday 16th June - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was an excellent evening's football in the Nuneaton Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night across both divisions as scheduled for the opening round of fixtures.

In the Premier League, Mandy Men started the season resourcefully, edging past Shaktar Senseless in a 3-2 win. Similarly, Mass Debaters demonstrated their tenacity with an impressive 7-2 victory over Fill Me Wycombe. Nott In Your Mums Forest and Ball Of Duty also earned solid victories against Newdigate United and Wootton Street Wanderers respectively. Ruud Man Merky secured the slimmest win of the night, defeating The Manor FC 1-0.

Meanwhile, in Division 1, Tooze Nil Up cruised to a 5-3 win over Conkers FC while King Street All-Stars dominated Squid Game with an impressive 8-0 victory. WSW and Dont Look Back In Elanga also started their campaigns on a high note, convincingly defeating The Crumble Boys and Gangsters Allardyce. La Radnor FC held their nerve to clinch a narrow 3-2 win against Inter Ya Nan.

It was a showcase of football skills and teamwork, with top scorers from each division certainly making their mark. For the Premier League, Mass Debaters' forward claimed the top scorer title for the first week, while in Division 1, it was King Street All-Stars' striker who stole the show.
