Overall it was a good evening's football in the Nuneaton Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches barring two. We will be speaking to Rubbergently and Age Doesn't Mateta to confirm their returns as normal on Sunday 24th August.
In the Premier League, EEFC demonstrated their might by thrashing Net 6 And Chill with a whopping 6-0 scoreline, making them the standout performers of the week. Ligmatip also secured a comfortable 4-1 victory over Backshot FC, while Norfolk N Chance squeezed out a narrow 3-2 win against THE ALLIES FC.
Down in Division 1, Borussia Teeth struggled against a powerful Atherstone Town FC, who put five goals past them without any reply. In a tightly contested match, Challenged FC managed to edge Hardly Athletic 1-0, showing that every goal matters.
Division 2 saw Misfits claim a 2-1 victory over Extra Special Ones, and Lads On Toure were bested 3-2 by HighAndWideFC in a high-scoring match that kept spectators on the edge of their seats.
In Division 3, the most standout game was undoubtedly Royal Mail-drid's 2-9 defeat to Ricky Spanish FC. Ricky Spanish FC showcased their offensive prowess, claiming the title of top scorers for the week. Salah-vation Army lost 3-1 to Rainbow Sparkles, and Tiki Tanaka kept a clean sheet in their 6-0 rout of Tuffnells FC.
We wish all teams good luck as we head into game week 8 of the season with Nuneaton's premier providers of small sided football!
