SPORTS WEEKLY: STOURBRIDGE SUNDAY FOOTBALL LEAGUE ROUND UP

Week eight of the Stourbridge Sunday Football League saw intense action across the Premier League and Division 1 fixtures. With players battling fiercely for supremacy, the matches were filled with spectacular goals, nail-biting moments, and standout performances.

In the Premier League, Stourbridge Old Boys showcased their strength by defeating X FC with a score of 5-1. I Like That put up an impressive performance against Balotelli-Tubbies, winning 7-3. The match between Blackheath Unathletic and Stourbridge Olympic ended in a deadlock with both teams securing 4 goals each. In a one-sided match, Withy Regens dominated Here For Beer, winning by a whopping  score line.

The action was equally captivating in Division 1. Hardly Athletic edged out Kewford Old Eagles with a 2-1 victory. Gangsters Allardyce showed their finesse with a triumph over Graces All Stars. In a close encounter, Pique Blinders managed to beat Stourbridge Zebra 2-1.

The thrilling action of week eight sets a promising tone for the rest of the season. Fans and players alike will be eagerly looking forward to the next round of fixtures, where we can expect more stunning goals, great sportsmanship and high-end football action.

The league is now OFF for Bank Holiday Sunday this week and will return Sunday 11th May 2025. We wish all players, officials and there families a wonderful Easter and see you all when we return. Please also note that the league will be OFF for another bank holiday also on Sunday 25th May 2025 so plan accordingly.
