Monday 9th May - Cannock Round-Up

It was another good evening's football in the Cannock Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled and some excellent matches played across all four divisions!

Last season's champions Harchester United made it 3 wins from as many games this week as they were 1-0 winners over Skillage In The Village this week in the battle of last season's top two teams, whilst Peasports impressive start to the season since promotion continued as they were 4-2 winners over Aston Villagers, moving them into second place and above Sporting Bad Haircuts who were beaten 2-0 by Cannockbis Dank Council.  Beaky Blinders got their season up and running as they won 4-0 against Cannock Young Boys.

Division One looks close at the early stages as four teams sit on four points.  Leaders PG suffered their first defeat of the season against Athletico Gem Carpets who ran out 4-2 winners, whilst Karius To Glory also lost their first game of the season, being beaten 1-0 by Thiago X Silva.  Borussia Teeth moved into third spot as they beat Club Bates convincingly by 4 goals to nil.  Nice to Michu got their season up and running recording their first points of the campaign, they were 1-0 winners against River Plate.

Bridge Rejects collected their third win on the spin this week as they made short work of Barsportelona whom they beat 4-0, whilst Allison Wonderland also sit on maximum points following their 3-1 victory against The Arcade Cannock.  Harriers remain in third place after a convincing 6-1 victory against The Swan FC, and Sevilla Depression moved above The Special Ones into fourth place as they beat them 4-1 this week.

It Was Just Matip made it 3 wins on the spin in Division Three, romping to an 11-1 win over Sheffield Monday this week, they are joined on maximum points by Red Hot Chilli Knackers who are looking to go one better this season and gain promotion, they were 3-1 victors against Lallanas In Pyjamas.  New boys Real Sosobad are unbeaten so far since joining, they were 4-2 winners against Pathetico Madrid in an entertaining encounter, with the action being completed by Beacon Bombs who were 3-1 winners against Bazikstan FC as they got their first win of the campaign.
