Monday 10th May - Cannock Round-Up

It was another excellent evening's football in the Cannock Monday 6 a side league this week which saw all teams in attendance for their matches throughout the night as scheduled and some cracking matches played.

Beaky Blinders look to retain their title in the Premier Division and made it 3 wins in a row, they ran out 3-1 winners over Tottenham Hotsperm. Sporting Bad Haircuts and Harchester sit 2 points off the pace at this early stage with both picking up wins last night.  Sporting ran out 6-2 winners in an entertaining encounter against Cannockbis Dank Council whilst Harchester were 4-2 winners over new team Puyol Pants Up.  Aston Villagers picked up their first points since joining the league at the start of the campaign as they were 2-0 victors over Skillage In The Village.

Classtro Turf moved top of Division One as they enjoyed a 3-1 win over First Choice United whilst Hawkins fell to second after a narrow 2-1 defeat to Tekkerslovakia who picked up their first win of the campaign.  After drawing their previous two games, Sporting Gibson remain undefeated but also recorded a first win of the campaign as they brushed aside Club Bates by a 3-0 scoreline.  Karius To Glory were worthy winners over Thiago X Silva, 2-0 the final scoreline which sees Karius move up to third.

Cheslyn Hay's rampant start to Division Two continues, they were 5-0 winners over Pathetico Madrid and have now scored 17 without reply so far this season.  Is Your Motherwell moved into second spot following an impressive 6-1 win against It was Just Matip whilst Dominos and Athletico Gem Carpets also recorded their first wins of the campaign to get their seasons moving.

Four teams sit on 4 points from the opening three games in a congested Division Three.  Win Some Booze some stay top on goal difference but suffered a 3-0 reverse at the hands of The Arcade Cannock who moved up to third and are one of the aforementioned teams on four points.  The Special Ones and Red Hot Chilli Knackers couldn't be separated as their game ended goalless whilst Norfolk In Chance registered a first win of the season with a 2-0 victory against Two Girls one Schlupp.

We welcome new team Bridge Rejects to the league on Monday 17th May as they replace the outgoing Not In your Nans Forest.  We wish these good luck in their first fixture with us.

Thanks to all of our teams for their continued commitment and reliability which is ensuring the league runs as smoothly as possible for everyone involved.

Good luck to all teams going into game week 4 with Cannock's premier provider of small sided football!
