Monday 18th October - Cannock Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Cannock Monday 6 a side league this week with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled, including new team Field FC who played their first fixture with us in Division One, although they were beaten 6-1 by Thiago X Silva they were said to be in good spirits afterwards, they will be looking to improve in next weeks match.

Skillage In The Village continue their title efforts, and with just three games remaining they sit top of the pile, they were 3-1 winners over Classtro Turf this week.  Sporting Bad Haircuts were 1-0 winners over Cannock Young Boys, whilst Beaky Blinders dropped to third place following their 3-3 draw with Harchester United.

The top of Division One remains tight with just a two points separating the top three teams. Cheslyn Hay stay top by a single goal as they were 1-0 winners over Karius To Glory, whilst Club Bates 4-0 win over Allison Wonderland sees them remain level on points but in second place, as the season looks to go down to the wire.  Demba9Ba sit in third place but fell an extra point off second as they were held to a 2-2 draw with Cannockbis.

In Division Two, Athletico Gem Carpets stay top due to the gap they had put between themselves and the rest of the league, although a 4-2 defeat to The Arcade Cannock sees their lead from second placed Borussia Teeth reduced to just two points.  Gangsters Allardyce were beaten 3-1 in their second game since joining, as Pathetico Madrid managed to move themselves further from the drop zone with this result.

The top v bottom clash in Division Three didn't go as expected, as Bridge Rejects and Expected Toulouse played out a thrilling 5-5 draw in a game that could've gone either way, a draw probably a fair result in the end.  That result allowed Pea Sports to move to within three points of the leaders, as they were 4-1 winners over Red Hot Chilli Knackers.  Elsewhere The Special Ones moved up to fifth place following their impressive performance over Lallanas In Pyjamas in which they were 3-0 winners.
