Monday 26th September - Cannock Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Cannock Monday 6 a side league this week overall, with all teams in attendance throughout the night barring a cancellation from Pathetic Athletic and non-attendance from Real Sosobad, both of which are due to return on Monday 3rd October, we look forward to seeing these back in attendance.

Skillage In The Village won the battle of the top two this week and did so in style as they romped to a 7-0 victory over Aston Villagers in a result which nobody expected to be quite so one sided.  A 3-1 win for River Plate over Cannockbis Dank Council sees them move into third place, seeing them now just a point off the summit, whilst new boys The Crown FC looked impressive again this week as they secured their second win on the spin since joining, overcoming Tackeroo by 4 goals to 1.  Harchester United moved up to fourth place as they were 3-1 winners over Athletico Gem Carpets in a solid performance.

Division One sees new leaders as SBFC's 3-2 win over Madeleine Milan was enough to put them at the top on goal difference as previous leaders Sevilla Depression were held to a 3-3 draw against Karius To Glory in an entertaining encounter.  Bridge Rejects moved up to fourth and within a point of Sporting Bad Haircuts as they romped to a 5-2 win this week over the third placed team, whilst Tekkerslovakia moved out of the drop zone at the expense of Borussia Teeth whom they beat 4-1.

Division Two remains completely unchanged as leaders Barsportelona got a 5-0 win this week, whilst second placed Allison Wonderland keep up the pressure as they were 7-3 winners over Thiago X Silva in an entertaining game.  Third placed Just Matip cruised to a 6-0 win over Harriers as they continue their back to back promotion ambitions, as do fourth placed The Special Ones who were 2-0 winners over Baines on Toast.

Division Three leaders Arcade Cannock remain top as they beat Beacon Bombs, who were second before kick off by 2 goals to nil.  The Swan's 5-0 win sees them sit in second spot, whilst mid-table Lallanas In Pyjamas shared a 2-2 draw with Koch In Dias.  After narrowly missing out on promotion last season, Red Hot Chilli Knackers are struggling in seventh so far this campaign, they were beaten 3-1 against Pathetico Madrid this week.

We wish all teams good luck going into game week 7 with Cannock's premier small sided football providers!
