Wednesday 17th October - Cannock Round-Up

It was a fantastic evening's football in the Cannock Wednesday 6 a side league with all teams in attendance throughout the night including new team FSW Allstars who made their debut in Division 1 being narrowly beaten 2-1 by Ideal Standard.

Pork Vale and Baldeaux remain joint top in the Premier Division picking up 5-0 and 1-0 wins respectively, there is just one goal in it as it looks as though it may be a two horse race at this early stage.

In Division One Nutmeg City keep their 100% record after a 3-2 win over Real Ale Madrid.

Division Two is the closest division so far as 4 teams are locked on 5 points with Belt Road top on goal difference following their 4-4 thriller with Nash FC!

No Weimann, Tower FC and Norton Wanderers are all on 6 points in Division Three.  No Weimann are top on goal difference after an impressive 3-0 win over The Jazz Shack.

The Barns kept up their 100% record in Division Four after a 4-1 win over First Choice who languish at the bottom so far with just 1 point from 4.

Other notable games were the 4-3 victory for Teachings of Jon over Linwood Raiders in Division One and a 3-3 draw in Division Four which saw 6 Yard Club pick up their first point of the season against Maradona Kebab!

We wish all teams the best of luck going into the next round of fixtures with Cannock's premier provider of small sided football!
