Wednesday 13th February - Cannock Round-Up

It was another good evening of 6 a side football in Cannock on Wednesday which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night across all five divisions.

Teachings of Jon stay top of the Premier Division with a perfect record as they beat Baldeaux 2-1.  AFC Heath Hayes still sit three points behind them in second place but inflicted defeat on Old Boys for the first time since they joined the league, a convincing 5-0 the full time result.  Ideal Standard sit third after they and Nutmeg City played out a 2-2 draw in an entertaining fixture.  There was a surprise result as last seasons champions Pork Vale were beaten 4-3 by Up the Chase who registered their first points of the season,

Cheddar Ball were knocked off the top in Division One as they drew 1-1 with fourth placed Athletic Bilboat, whilst Oriental Delight beat Newolvabora 5-3 in a well competed encounter.  FC Crescent stay third but lost 3-2 to Bocaseniors as the whole division looks very close.

In Division 2 Nash FC sit at the top and remain unbeaten as they were 3-1 winners over TapTap , they are closely followed by Tower FC who are just one win behind them, they were 5-2 winners against Mighty Mariners.

Division Three remains very close with 2 points separating the top 5 teams at present.  Shameless 6 are top of the shop as they edged past Fiveways by a single goal.  The Barns were 4-1 winners against Sovereign FC and Maradona Kebab 5-1 winners against Mables Spartans as they sit second and third respectively just a point off top.  Jazz Shack were 3-2 winners over bottom place Not a Kalou to complete the action.

Haven't Got One Yet and Trafalgar are pulling clear of the rest in Division Four as they both sit on 9 points, 3 clear of the next placed team following wins again this week.  Haven't are top by 2 goals as they saw off First Choice 4-1 whilst Trafalgar also won in style, they thrashed Out of Shape 5-0.

Pepe Pig are in third place in Division Four and were also in form in front of goal as they put 8 past 6 Yard Club in an 8-1 drubbing.  Wyld Stallyns are joint with them though and sit fourth following an entertaining 3-2 victory over Lads United.

Good luck to all teams going into next weeks matches with Cannock's premier small sided football provider.
