Sunday 22nd May - Cannock Round-Up

It was another good evening of 6 a side football in Cannock on Wednesday which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night across all five divisions which was great to see.

AFC Heath Hayes picked up an impressive 4-2 win over Old Boys to stay top of the Premier Division, they are however still shadowed by FC Crescent who also won their match against Ideal Standard 3-1 to remain level on points, just goal difference separates the two at this stage.  Cheddar Ball also sit in third spot after a 4-2 win over Pork Vale, whilst Oriental Delight were 4-3 victors over Teachings of Jon in a thrilling encounter.

In Division One, Nutmeg City stay top of the pile following an emphatic 6-0 win over We're Gonna Lose, a result which sees the latter drop to fourth.  Wins for Tower FC and Athletic Bilboat see them move to second and third place respectively whilst Baldeaux's moved above Nash FC who they beat 3-2.

Strongbow Unathletic keep up their 100% record in Division Two with a fifth consecutive win, they beat second placed The Barns 4-1 to move three points clear of their opponents.  Tap Tap remain in third place but level on points with second after they beat Corneto'o FC 4-3 in a thoroughly entertaining affair.

Division Three leaders Misfits kept their place at the summit following their 6-2 victory against Mighty Mariners.  The Jazz Shack dropped to third place after they suffered a 2-1 reverse at the hands of Pepe Pig, whilst Peahead Dave took full advantage with a 4-2 win against a so far pointless Mable's Spartans to move into the promotion places.

Fiveways remain at the top of Division Four after a hard fought 2-1 win against Out of Shape.  An entertaining encounter saw Wyld Stallyns beat Lads United 3-2, a result which saw Stallyns move above this weeks opponents and into second place.    Tiny Kodjias were the big winners of the night in the bottom division after a 7-1 victory against 6 Yard Club.

Good luck to all teams going into next weeks matches with Cannock's premier small sided football provider.
