Wednesday 20th March - Cannock Round-Up

It was a good evening of 6 a side football in Cannock on Wednesday which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled, the only exception being Not a Kalou who will be spoken to accordingly regarding their continuation.

Its still close at the top of the Premier Division, although Teachings of Jon made up some ground with goal difference this week, they won 6-1 in their match against The Ideal Standard, whilst Heath Hayes were 2-0 winners against Up The Chase.  Nutmeg City and Pork Vale played out a 3-3 draw, a result which moves them both up a position, at the expense of Baldeaux who were beaten 6-2 by Old Boys.

Cheddar Ball were 4-1 winners over FC Crescent to stay at the top of the table, Crescent drop to fourth.  Oriental Delight move into the second promotion spot after their 4-0 win over Real Ale Madrid,  whilst Athletic Bilboat climed to third following their 3-0 win over Strongbow Unathletic.  Bocaseniors and Newolvabora played out an 11 goal thriller in which Boca won 7-4.

In Division Two, Nash FC ran out 3-2 winners against Tower FC as they close in on promotion, a result which also drops Tower out of the top two.  We're Gonna Lose are now in second place after they beat fourth placed TapTap 3-1.  The other two games were goal fests as The Mix climbed up to fifth with a 6-4 win over Mighty Mariners and Belt Road were 5-4 winners against Peahead Dave.

Shameless 6 are now two without a win which sees their lead at the top shrink to just a point, they were held to a 3-3 draw in an entertaining clash against fourth placed Sovereign FC.  Maradona Kebab stay in second spot on goal difference, despite their 3-2 defeat against Jazz Shack.  The Barns move into third position, and level on points with second following a hard fought 1-0 win over Mable's Spartans.

Top of Divison Four Trafalgar FC were 6-1 winners over Lad's United as they continue to dominate at the top of the table.  Wyld Stallyns move into second place following their 2-0 win over Haven't Got One Yet, a big result which sees Haven't drop to fourth, as Pepe Pig's 6-1 win over Out of Shape sees them move into third place.  First Choice FC were convincing 5-0 winners over 6 Yard Club as  they move well clear of the bottom two.

We wish all teams good luck going into the next round of fixtures with Cannock's premier small sided football provider.
