Wednesday 4th March - Cannock Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Cannock Wednesday 6 a side league with all teams in attendance barring a cancellation from Maradona Kebab who have confirmed their return on Wednesday 11th March as normal.

Athletic Bilboat and AFC Heath Hayes are on maximum points after their opening 2 games and lead the way at the top of the Premier Division at this very early stage.  Misfitz were the big winners of the week though as they thrashed Banglasesh FC 9-1.

In Division One Up The Chase FC picked up another impressive week in the second game of the season, they ran out 5-1 winners over The Dribblers as they look to improve on last season where they narrowly avoided relegation.  Nutmeg City sit top with an impressive goal difference of +10 as they beat Strongbow Unathletic 5-2.

Division Two is lead by Peahead Dave who cruised to a 4-1 victory over Baldeaux, and Bocaseniors who also comfortably won 3-0 over Tequila Rattler FC.  Delph and Safety also looked impressive after narrowly losing last week, they ran out 6-0 victors against Inter Yanan.

In Division Three Vic FC won their second match in a row at the expense of Trogs Army who they thrashed 6-1 whilst Shameless 6 look good since promotion as they also recorded a second successive win against Five Ways who they beat 3-1.  Lads United and Newolvabora shared the spoils with an entertaining 2-2 draw which gives Lads their first point on the board in Division Three, whilst 5 and a Half Men and Mable's Spartans couldn't be separated as they drew 1-1.

Chicken Tikka Mo Salah inflicted a heavy defeat on Corneto'o FC who they thrashed 10-0 to record their second consecutive win.  Columbian Dust FC also won their second game in a row at the expense of Allthegearnoidea who they beat 7-1.  6 Lovely Guys and Haven't Got One Yet also won their matches this week.

We wish all teams good luck going into next weeks matches with Cannock's premier small sided football provider!
