Wednesday 6th November - Cannock Round-Up

It was a fantastic start to the new season in the Cannock Wednesday 6 a side league this week with all teams in attendance for their scheduled fixtures, the only exception being a late cancellation from First Choice FC in Division Two, they return as normal on Wednesday 13th November.

Game of the night in the Premier Division was the 6-3 victory for AFC Heath Hayes over newly promoted Tower FC in an end to end encounter!  Strongbow Unathletic settled in well to life in the Premier Division as they convincingly beat last season's Runners-Up Teachings of Jon 3-0.  There were also wins for Oriental Delight (3-2 over Snorting Wizbon) and Athletic Bilboat (3-1 over Pork Vale).

in Division One, Nutmeg City ran out 8-3 winners over Misfitz in a dominant performance, Misfitz pulled back a couple of late goals but the damage was already done at this point.  Lads Dads and Kebabs picked up a very convincing 5-0 win over Baldeaux who were newly promoted, and Up The Chase and Maradona Kebab played out an entertaining 2-2 draw.

Pub and The Mix sit top of Division Two following their 5-0 win's whilst Boca Seniors thrashed The Barns 6-1 and Banglasesh were 5-1 winners in their match against Delph and Safety in a night of comprehensive results in this division.

Kezza FC started off the campaign in style in Division Three after a 7-1 thrashing of Fiveways, whilst Peahead Dave ran out 5-3 winners in an entertaining affair with AllTheGearNoIdea.  Newolvabora got the better of newly promoted Mable's Spartans in a well contested game, they eventually ran out 2-1 winners with a late goal.  Wyld Stallyns also won their match against The Jazz Shack by the same scoreline.

Finally, in Division Four we saw 6 Lovely Guys from Penkridge triumph 3-0 in their match against Corneto'o FC.  Lads United will be aiming to better their third place finish of last season and started off the campaign well with a 5-3 victory over Out of Shape in what was arguably match of the night!  Shameless 6 put in a professional performance against Capri Sun in which they won 2-0.  Finally Haven't Got One Yet were 1-0 winners in their match against Tiny Kodjias, a result they were made to work hard for by a tough opponent.

We currently have just two team spaces available in this league at present!  Sign up today to receive discounted entry of £10 (usually £25)!  We will contact you as soon as a completed application form is received to confirm kick off information for your first fixture.

Good luck to all teams going into next weeks matches with Cannock's premier provider of small sided football.
