Match Report - Tuesday 18th July

GFC 2 - 0 Balotelli Tubbies

GFC had already received the win due to Red Bull being away on holiday, instead playing a great opening match against Balotelli Tubbies who will be joining the league next week. It was a well matched encounter played in a great spirit and moved GFC up into second place. MOM - Ed Day (GFC)

Lads On Toure 1 - 1 FFFC

The draw means that FFFC drop one place into fourth, but are still level on points with the second placed side - well on track to compete for silverware. Lads On Toure are themselves in the race for medals, they are just two points off second after a recent run of good form. MOM - James Mack (FFFC)

Danny Dyers Chocolate Harmonculus 1 - 1 Hashtag United 6 A Side

Points shared for these two evenly matched sides, the point was enough to lift Danny Dyers off the foot of the table. On the flip side it was not enough to stop Hashtag United dropping one place into eighth. An enthralling fixture which could have gone either way, with the draw feeling like the right result. MOM - Jeavon Scott (DDCH)

Hashtag United 6 A Side 0 - 4 Peg Doesn't Pass

Newark On Tour's non arrival has meant they have been removed from the league. Instead Peg Doesn't Pass produced a brilliant performance to secure a 4 - 0 win, rising up to seventh place with the top half of the table very much in sight. MOM - Alex Stayne

1TrueSaxon 1 - 7 Cooking With Ethan AFC

After receiving criticism from the league leaders of my reporting of their last 7 - 1 victory, I feel obliged to describe tonight's performance as the most breathtaking, inspiring, exhilarating display of 'total football' I have ever seen. It must however be said that the opening goal from 1TrueSaxon was definitely the 'goal of the game'. MOM - Matt Stevenson (Cooking With Ethan AFC)
