Monday 25th February - Burntwood Round-Up

It was a good evening of 6 a side football in Burntwood on Monday which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled.  

Absolutely Fabregas have withdrawn from the league after playing out their two weeks withdrawal notice.  We welcome new team Bandits to the league this week which is good news, they play their first game in Division Two on Monday 4th March.

Bantalona FC were given a tough evening from top of the table Chase FC who made it 7 wins in a row, the full time score 6-2.  Brutal Deluxe were 4-2 winners in their game with Norfolkinchance and stay second, looking to go level on points with Chase when the two teams meet next week in what promises to be a mouth watering tie.

Walkabout FC were held to a 0-0 draw by Only Fools & Scorers, which sees their lead cut to a single point after Burntwood Dads 5-0 win.    The Dukes moved into third place, a point ahead of Only Fools as they ran out comfortable 2-0 winners over The Price Is Right.

Monday Club's lead at the top of Division Two extends to five points after a 4-1 thrashing of Sex Drugs and Carlton Cole, whilst Lloyds were beaten 5-2 by Mean Machine leaving a cluster of 4 teams tied on 7 points.  Only three points separate second place from bottom which makes for an interesting campaign.
