Monday 27th June - Burntwood Round-Up

It was a good evening's 6-a-side football at Burntwood Leisure Centre on Monday this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night across both divisions.

The top two met in the Premier Division this week as Largentina and Gradient shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw, keeping the leaders two points clear of second.  Burntwood FC capitalised on the two top teams dropping a point a piece as they thrashed Borussia Teeth 8-2, the third placed team sit a point off second.  Elsewhere Bumfica dropped to fourth as they drew 4-4 with Second 2 None in an end to end game.  Pete Scores Bangers got back to winning ways this week as they were comfortable 4-0 winners over Tea & Busquets as they move two points clear of this weeks opponents.  Completing the action was new boys No Fuchs Given who got an encouraging first result in the league, drawing 2-2 with The CTL Elite.

Division One leaders Hit N Miss United made it 6 wins on the spin as they beat Friel United comfortably by 3 goals to 1, whilst second placed Burntwood Dads stay two points off the leaders as they bid to keep the pressure on, they narrowly beat FC Bantalona 1-0.  Norfolkinchance's 2-1 win over Chasetown Seniors saw them leapfrog this weeks opposition into third, whilst Janine The Dream dropped a place to fifth after a 1-1 draw with Monday Warriors.  WIP FC moved off the foot of the table at the expense of Inter Your Nan this week as they romped to a 4-0 win over the now bottom placed side.
