Sunday 31st March - Burntwood Round-Up

It was a superb evening of 6 a side football in Burntwood on Sunday which saw all teams apart from Bottom Bunch in attendance for their matches, we look forward to seeing them return on Sunday 7th April.

There was a big result at the top of the Premier Division as Top Notch took pole position, albeit on a very healthy goal difference following their 8-2 win over Netsix and Chill FC, whilst Ringers and Chase Lions cancelled each other out in a 1-1 draw, meaning three teams are now separated by just a point.

Fourth placed Bayern Alwayslosen missed the opportunity to get even closer to the title but are by no means out of it as they were held to a 0-0 draw with Slightly Overweight. Peek Eboue remain in fifth spot following a 5-2 win over Murder on Zidanes Floor whilst Tavern Lions FC moved off the bottom with an impressive 5-1 victory over 6 stars.

In Division One, Norton FC continue to lead the way in what is becoming a familiar top two, as Bacon Mbappe sit in second spot.  Norton were 2-1 winners over Fortress and Bacon Mbappe edged out Box of Chocolates in a 3-2 thriller to remain just two points off the top.  Third placed Bayer Neverlusen remain three points off the top two so still have an outside chance of promotion although games are running out.

Mourinho's Elite moved up to fourth place after they were 1-0 winners over Multiple Scoregasm, whilst Jurgen Flopps and Warriors played out a 2-2 draw.

We wish all teams good luck going into next weeks matches with Burntwood's premier small sided football provider.
