Sunday 26th September - Burntwood Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Burntwood Sunday 6 a side league this week with all teams in attendance for their scheduled matches including new team Gylfi's U12's in Division One who played their first fixture with us, they ran out 2-0 winners over Fortress in an impressive performance and we wish these good luck for the remainder of the campaign.

Ringers Utd stay top of the pile in the Premier Division and continue to hold a 4 point advantage, as they were 1-0 winners over Peek Eboue whilst Norton FC lost ground and slipped to third following their 2-1 defeat at the hands of Tavern Lions, a result which puts the winners into second place on goal difference.

BUT FC also keep their place at the top of Division One as they made it an incredible 13 wins in a row, a 9-0 thrashing of Untouchables Reborn their latest result as they sail towards the title.  Their lead was extended to 6 points as this result, coupled with second place Obese City's 4-1 defeat to Delph and Safety was enough to make them look out of sight as this point of the season.

We are pleased to see the league running as well as it is at present and thank all teams as ever for their reliability and commitment.

If you have any queries at any point regarding this league you can contact Shaun at Head Office on 0333 123 2340.
