Grimsby Thursday 6-a-side league: The Craziest Scoreline

26/05/2022

A result like you've never seen before, lots of goals, and tight battles - the Grimsby Thursday 6-a-side league had it all going in this week's round of fixtures.

Starting with the Premier League, The Wednesday and Rolls Reus treated everyone to a thrilling contest, with the former claiming a 7-5 win in an end-to-end battle.

The Marsh Boys were in incredible form, beating Just Matip 8-0 to stay in second place and the leaders Kitchen Surfers received a walkover in a points match, while Grange FC moved up the standings with a 5-2 win over Crusaders.

But the talking point of the week has to be Twazzok FC's game against T$1, which will surely go into the Leisure Leagues record books. Third-placed Twazzok produced a performance for the absolute ages, demolishing their opponents 27-1. TWENTY-SEVEN! The match worked wonders for their goal difference and shows their intent.

Division 1 paled in comparison, but it was a lot more closely matched with some very tight battles. Kroos Control Athletic won with relative comfort, beating Dossers on Zidanes Floor 3-0 to move up into third place and level on points with their namesakes Murder on Zidane's Floor, who were deadlocked at 0-0 against Kinky Konate.

Netsix and Chill netted two unanswered goals against Exter Gently, and Inter Young Boys received a walkover in their points match. Remember, even without an official game on the schedule, you can pay and play as usual in a casual friendly against one of the other teams if they're available.

There are still two spots for grabs in this incredible league in Grimsby, so sign up now on www.leisureleagues.net, or contact Michael on 07341810083.
