Grimsby Thursday 6-a-side league: Weekly Recap

08/06/2022

This week's round of games in the Grimsby Thursday 6-a-side league saw some great games and lots of rare clean sheets.

The Premier League saw two walkovers for Rolls Reus and Grange FC, following which they played each other in a friendly, which you can always try and do when you don't have an official match! Just turn up, pay and play as usual in a casual game.

Twazzok then took on Marsh Boys in a clash of third versus second, with the former running out 4-0 winners in a crucial result for their top two hopes. League leaders Kitchen Surfers marched on, beating Just Matip 5-2, before the Wednesday defeated the Crusaders 3-1.

Division 1 also had two walkovers for Kroos Control Athletic and Kinky Konate due to a couple of vacant spots in the league, which saw the former enter the promotion spots. This was unfortunate for Murder on Zidane's Floor who dropped to third on goal difference despite a brilliant 3-1 win against their namesakes and table-toppers Dossers on Zidanes Floor. However, they will take plenty of confidence from the result.

Exeter Gently then comfortably beat Fill Her Wycombe 3-0, before Inter Young Boys' solid 2-0 win over Netsix and Chill.

With limited spots available, don't forget to sign up for this exciting 6-a-side league in Grimsby every Thursday. Visit www.leisureleagues.net or contact Michael on 07341810083.
