HAVANT MONDAY 6 A SIDE

We had a disappointing night in Havant his week with a number of the later games having to be shelved because of a lightening storm that came over the Havant and Waterlooville stadium mid way through our evening of 6 a side football. Obviously this is disappointing but the venue always have to consider the safety of players, officials and staff as the number one priority and the decision was made that there was a risk of a lightening strike and so we had to retreat to the safety of the club house. Due to the tight time restraints and the nature of how all small sided league operate, the only way we can record results for the missed games is to put 0 - 0 which I know is frustrating but that is all we can do unfortunately. All the teams that missed games or had their game cut short have been credited so they will have no fees to pay this week.

Of the games that were completed we had some great match ups, in Division One Kye Rovers were on form again winning 4 - 2 against OAP's FC, Lee Hyett on target with a brace to put Kye Rovers back level with the leaders on 8 points in what has become a very tight division after 6 weeks. Six Bells Vets had 5 goals from Tommy Stevens to thank for their 10 - 3 win over Emsworth FC while the Reserves won 7 - 3 against Hurricans.

Division Two also had 2 games, Lallana's winning 4 - 2 against Peter File while Willian Your Mouth picked up the points from their game with WhatDivock. Tristan Jobber with 5 of his teams 6 goals in a 6 - 3 win.

Big thanks on a tough night for the officials, never easy to manage these situations but Mike and the crew did an amazing job as always.

Fingers crossed for a better forecast next Monday and we can get back to a full line up of games.
