5 A Side in Chatham is BACK !

It was so great to see all 12 teams out in force for the return to 5 a side at Holcombe School last night. We have all missed our football so much and hopefully this is the last of the interruptions over with and everyone can crack on with their seasons.

Curtis bagged 6 for Maradonna Kabab who came out on top against AC Me Rollin with a 9 - 3 win to go level at the top with current champions Retired FC who hit the ground running against our newest team Out on Bale, securing a comfortable victory and doing their goal difference no harm at all in the process.  Out on Bale will be looking to bounce back and find their feet in the league next time out when they face Weinsteins Wanderers. That won't be easy though as WW sit in 3rd place in the table following a comfortable 7 - 1 win over Scottswood.

In Div 1 there was a win for APway who secured top spot with a good win against Skinners who sit just outside the promotion spots in 3rd.
Stella Kings moved up to 2nd with a 2 - 0 win over Ladzio
The final game to report was between 6* Skills and Bayer Neverloosen, sadly this game was abandoned before half time following a serious knee injury to Prince from 6* Skills. Obviously it's horrible for everyone involved when things like this happen and just reminds us all how easily these things can happen. From Rich, Ash, myself and everyone at Leisure Leagues we all wish Prince a speedy recovery and hope to see him back playing football as soon as he is able.

Just to confirm there is no game next week due to the venue not being available on a Bank Holiday.

Lastly, thank you to Ash and the guys reffing last night, so good to get football back on the calendar.

Well done everyone

Rob
