Chatham 5 a side round up from Holcombe Grammar

Thank you to 11 of our 12 sides that turned out for match day 4 at Holcombe Grammar School in our Chatham Monday 5 a side league. Unfortunately Singh FC failed to appear for their fixture for the second week running despite saying they would be there so have been removed from the league.

There were 3 fantastic games in the Premier League as the title race was blown wide open with no teams left unbeaten now. Murder On Zidane's Floor remain top of the table on goal difference despite going down 7-4 to new team AFC Samba, good to see another strong side in the Prem. Reece, 3, Tom Pike, Jack Richards 2 and Grant Mcilheron all found the back of the net for Samba while Luca Gorse, Callum, Owen and George scored for Zidane's. Maradona Kebab hold onto second spot despite also suffering a loss, Skinners FC inflicted the defeat on them to draw level on points with Kebab. Skinners goalscorers were Reece 2 , Ben, Chris Skinner and Andrew Skinner. Smith, Ball and Dave in reply for Kebab. In the other results Weinstein's Wanderers sealed a fantastic performance with a 3-1 win over reigning champions Retired FC. Oliver Kent-Smith scoring a brace to add to a strike from Finley Seath for Wanderers while Tay found the target for Retired who have now got some catching up to do this season.

In Div 1 the matches were a little more one-sided affairs as Scottswood rattled in 17 without reply against Out On Bale. Top scoring with 7 was Rob Kinzett while captain Craig Taylor scored 6. Jordan Gower had his shooting boots with him a AC Me Rollin won 6-0 against Bayer Neverlosen with Gower scoring 4, other strikes from Zak and Ben Carlile. Finally 6* Skills picked up a points match win due to Singh FC not appearing.

Thank you again to our teams and our match night supervisor Ash with refs Kelly and Jake. See you all next week. We now have a space available so if you are interested in joining the league please register your team at the link below and get started next week:
