End of the Season at Chatham Monday 5 a side

It was an interesting finish to our Chatham Monday 5 a side season last night with a few of the leading teams coming unstuck on the final day of the season. All teams were in attendance to finish off an excellent season at Thinking Fitness.

Congratulations to our Premier League champions Obi Wan Iwobi who took their foot off the gas a little on the final day as they went down 8-2 to runners up Cats On Tour. Relegated Scottswood picked up their first win of the season on the final day as they beat AC Me Rollin 5-1 while Beercelona went down with them as they lost 5-3 to Pheasant Pluckers.

Congratulations to our Div 1 champions Special Olympiakos who managed the perfect season, winning all 10 of their games, rounding it off with a 4-1 win away to Skinners. Mush Men won promotion as runners up after a 8-2 victory against Sniffers who go down with Skinners to Div 2. The mid table clash didn't disappoint as Ji Sung Park The Bus won a nine goal thriller 5-4 against Borstal FC.

It was a funny night in Div 2 with the top two both losing so congratulations go to Dirt Washers on winning their first title, despite the 1-0 loss to Workrate it's been a great season. Mac's 3.0 could of taken the title away from them with a win but they also fell to a defeat, losing 9-3 to Woodbleak. The other game was a cracker as MrsBrandtsBoys won it 5-4 against Get Your Scally Out FC, Adam Woods with a hat-trick.

The Golden Boot winners for this season are Jack (Obi Wan Iwobi) in the Premier League with 20 goals, Liam (Special Olympiakos) with 13 goals in Div 1 and Nathan (Mac's 3.0) with 28 goals in Div 2.

Thank you all for a great season and a big thank you to all our refs this season along with Ash for running the evening. The new fixtures will be out on Thursday and the new season will start on Monday 24th October. If you'd like to get your team involved please register at the link below, thanks Rich 07969 731086.
