Happy New Year Chatham Monday 5 a side teams

Happy New Year to all our Chatham Monday 5 a side teams. It's great to be back playing and fantastic to see all 11 teams back in action last night. We have just two rounds of matches to play now before the start of the new season on the 31st Jan and there's all to play for still. 

Skinners FC took a giant step towards the Premier League title as Chris Skinner 2 and Andrew Skinner scored the goals to seal a narrow 3-2 win over Scottswood. This was coupled with a defeat for the reigning champions Maradona Kebab as they went down 9-4 to third place AC Me Rollin, Ben Carlile banging a hat-trick for the visitors. In the other match Macs picked up a points match win with a game against Walderslade Wonderers.

It's all change in Div 1 with  new leaders in Meat Heads FC. Despite a 4-2 win over Woodbleak, Walderslade Wonderers are knocked off the top on goal difference after Meat Heads won 9-1 against Get Your Scally Out FC, Callum scoring 4 times and Alfie scoring a hat-trick for Meat Heads. Crossley aren't out of it yet either as they sit a point behind the top two after a hard fought 4-3 victory over Gylfi Pleasures.
