New Chatham Monday 5 a side season kicks off!

CHATHAM MONDAY 5 A SIDE RESULTS - MATCH DAY 1

The Chatham Monday 5-a-side Football league kicked off its new season with a slew of thrilling matches. The league, broken up into three divisions, Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3, saw teams battling it out on the pitch in a bid to get an early lead in the freshly minted season.

DIVISION ONE

In Division 1, Borstal Bums made a roaring start with a resounding 10-3 victory over Obi Wan Iwobi. Pheasant Pluckers edged past Bligh A Side in a nail-biting 3-2 encounter, while Nigel Bens XI and Cadiz Nuts CF played out an evenly-contested 4-4 draw. Goals Aloud also started their campaign on high, defeating Mac's 3.0 10-0. The standout player of the division was Kai Osborne of Borstal Bums, who managed to net an impressive total of 4 goals.

DIVISION TWO  

In Division 2, Beercelona romped to a 7-2 triumph over Unathletico Madrid while Gayson Mount comfortably defeated Snus Warriors 5-0. Skinners Fc outscored Holcombe Goons 11-4, whereas Scottswood squeezed past Rapid Viagra 5-4. Chris Skinner and Andrew Skinner of Skinners FC emerged as the top scorers in the division with 4 goals each.

DIVISION THREE

Division 3 saw Workrate FC cruising to a win over Barely Athletic 13-1 while Cokane United beat Tekkerslovakia FC 5-2. Get Your Scally Out FC outplayed Maroon 5 with an 8-1 scoreline. Division 3’s top scorer was Jude Jones of Workrate FC who hit the back of the net an impressive 4 times.

The season has just started and it's already heating up. With top scorers emerging and teams showcasing their skills, the Chatham Monday 5-a-side Football League promises to deliver an exciting season of football. Stay tuned for more updates on the thrilling action from the pitch.
