Chatham Monday 5 a side season kicks off!

Great to see all 10 teams in attendance as we kicked off the new Chatham Monday 5 a side season at Holcombe Grammar School. We still have two places left in the league for two new teams to join now and start next week. 

Murder On Zidane's Floor got their first Premier League campaign off to a flyer as they defeated last season's Div 1 champion Skinners FC 7-1. Could Zidane's be the ones to challenge Retired this season? Zidane's goals came courtesy of 5 from Callum along with Owen and Lewis. Chris Skinner with the only strike for Skinners. Another couple of strong contenders came face to face as Maradona Kebab took on Weinsteins Wanderers. Kebab eventually holding on for a 3-2 win with goals from Ball 2 and Salmon. Wanderers found the net through Andre and Ethan. Retired FC picked up a points match win due to the space in the division.

Bayer Neverlosen impressed on the opening day as they defeated Out On Bale FC 8-2 to go straight in at number 1 in the division. Oliver Wells banged a hat-trick while George Green and Billy hit braces along with a goal from Mercer for Bayer. Connor was on the scoresheet twice for Out On Bale. Scottswood also began their Div 1 campaign with a win as they beat 6* Skills 6-2. Captain Craig Taylor bagged a couple while Rob Kinzett went one better with a hat-trick along with a goal from Gino Fernandez for Scottswood. Lekan and Godlyn with the 6* Skills goals. Finally AC Me Rollin also picked up a points match due to a space in Div 1.
