Four becomes two in Kingsdown six a side

It was another important night in the Leisure Leagues Swindon Monday six a side from Kingsdown School as the top four in the league became a top two after the top four were in action against one another. 

The first game of the night was part 1 of the top four double header. In this game What’s The Story Kolo Toure took on Tidy Box. After last weeks defeat WTSKT were keen to get back to winning ways. However, Tidy Box didn’t give them a sniff. They were back to their ruthless best in this game and took no prisoners as they romped to a 5-1 win. To put this in context before this game WTSKT had only conceded twice all season. The win ensures that Tidy Box extend their advantage over the rest at the top of the table. 

Part 2 of the double header saw DFA against White Ate All Depays. This was a much game that the first game with DFA securing a narrow 1-0 win. The win has helped them to open up a 4 point lead over the two teams behind them. While this means that they will be more or less nailed on for the runners up spot (not a bad achievement in their first season) they are ambitious and will want more. This therefore makes the game against Tidy Box an enthralling encounter. 

The final game of the night saw a rivalry between Oxford United and Swinn. Once again  Oxford United had the edge over the Swinn boys. The final result (6-1) might have flattered Oxford to an extent but they won’t worry about that. They are now level on points with WTSKT and Depays and night start to think about whether a push towards a runners up spot is possible. 

Unfortunately the weather prevented the refs from getting goal scorers. If team captains could let me know goal scorers I will add them to the golden boot table.
