Zidane's go 2 points clear at Mildenhall Wednesday 6 a side

It was another exciting round of matches at our Mildenhall Wednesday 6 a side league at Mildenhall Hub. All teams were in attendance as normal as we approach the last two games of the season.

There was a surprise defeat for the leaders at the start of play as Pique Blinders who suffered their first loss of the season to BTownShaggers FC by 8 goals to 2. Ryan Colliss banged a hat-trick for Btown while Callum Beard hit a brace. This allowed Murder On Zidane's Floor to go two points clear at the top as they impressed again with a 6-1 win over I Hueng Me Son. Zidane's captain Keiran Wingfield scoring 4 times as he moved 5 goals clear in the Golden Boot race.

Ipswich enjoyed their second win of the season and it was a big one as they beat Only Kruls and Horses 11-3. Jack Turner top scoring with 4 while Sam Bacon hit a hat-trick. The other two matches were much closer as Knappers and West Row Gunners drew 4-4. Colby Poolton with a hat-trick for Knappers while captain Ben Watts and Issac Reyna both scored twice. Finally Joe Jones smashed in a hat-trick to help Knights Utd to a 4-3 victory over Tekkerslovakia.

Thank you to all our teams and to our match night supervisor Brian along with refs Paul and also Phil who stepped in at short notice, much appreciated. See you all next week for match day 8. Thanks Rich
