Sunday 14th November - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was another good evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches across both divisions as usual and some thoroughly entertaining matches played throughout the evening.

Exeter Gently were in scintillating form in front of goal this week as they remain at the top of the pile with a 9-3 thrashing of Misfits.  Cheeky Milandos moved into second place with a 4-0 win against Up The Tics as Hardly Athletic dropped to third place, losing 5-3 against 3 Lions.  Jack's Army climbed out of the relegation places as they were 5-2 winners against bottom of the pile Egg Fried Reus.

Yerrr's impressive campaign continues and their unbeaten streak extended into a seventh week.  They were made to work harder than they expected though as they edged past bottom of the table Muff Munchers by a 1-0 margin.  Borussia Teeth's 3-1 win over Sky Blues sees them move into second place in an ever congested Division One table, The Purples dropped from second place to fifth as they were beaten by now fourth placed Dixy Pigeons, also by a 3-1 scoreline.  Rainbow Sparkles and Extra Special Ones played the game of the evening, in a game that Rainbow ran out 4-3 winners in a thrilling encounter, moving themselves into third position in the process.
