Sunday 17th November - Nuneaton Round-Up

It was another excellent evening of 6 a side football at Nuneaton Academy on Sunday with all teams in attendance for their fixtures as scheduled and some closely contested matches played across both divisions.

There was very little to choose between the teams in the Premier Division this week as three of the four games ended 1-0 with Sky Blues 87, Mass Debaters FC and Hardly Athletic all defeating their opponents by this scoreline.  Boogaloo FC upset the form book somewhat as they inflicted a rare defeat on Exeter Gently FC who they overcame 3-1.  Exeter remain top of the pile but there are now just three points separating the top four in this division.

In Division One, Cheeky Milandos remain top and unbeaten but were made to work for the points this week as they edged past Egg Fried Reus 2-1.  Extra Special Ones 3-0 victory over Deportivo LF keeps them in second place whilst Misfits move up to the dizzy heights of third place following their 3-1 win over Dixy Pigeons who stay in fifth.  5 and a Half Men won the battle of the bottom two with a 3-0 win over pointless Flash's Young Boys.
